One of the items from my shopping spree in London that I forgot in my previous post was a pair of pilot sunglasses. I picked them up at primark for only 2 pounds.

Funny thing was that one of my roommates had gotten a pair too, and as I had them next to each other they looked exactly the same. Only difference was that her pair was ray ban glasses at almost 200 pounds!

Sure they are a better quality and will last longer, but I still figure I did a good deal on that one!

London here we come

Today I'm leaving for a longweekend to London togheter with three of the super people that I work with and an unknown (to me) number of kids from vinderen dansestudio. It's going to be an inspiration trip with dance classes, musicals and shows.

tattoo ideas....

A few years back I got my first tattoo. It's a typical tribal style butterfly on my lower back. For a while I've been thinking about doing something with it. I like more colours in tattoos now than I used to, and I would like to make it a little bigger and less symmetrical. I think it would actually be nice if it even came all the way to my hip on one side. I really like the old school swallow tattoos. The swallow symbolizes the family and always returning home, and was therefore a very popular tattoo amongst the sailors. I was thinking about using the old tattoo as a background and maybe adding a little shading to it. Then adding the two swallows flying over it and to the side. One bird for each child I have. The swallows in colour. The one on top of the old tattoo should probably be stronger color, and the other in pastels?

This is only the firs idea, so let me know what you think. Should I go for swallows, or something else?

Day 77 one of my favourite vintage findings

Is this cute turtle broch. I found it on Etsy when I was looking for a gift for my friend Maria who just got married. When I saw this challenge "Best vintage finding" at Anettes Hus I wanted to make a post about it.

Seriously, that's how busy my life is. Or how bad my memory has become? One or the other. Or even a little of both! I  have to have my daily planner with me at all times, and write down every little appointment. If it's not written down in my purple planner, I don't remember it. It's like it doesn't exist.

So if you're not in here....who knows. Maybe you don't exist either?

day 73 something old

A little while back we found some cute lemonade bottles at smart club. They are old fashioned glass bottles, and when the lemonade was finished I just couldn't throw them out. I soaked them in hot water to get the labels off, and ended up with to gorgeous bottles for water or Juice. I think they look very decorative!

Sofies artwork

Inspired by jordbærpiken I went and got a large canvas today. I gave Sofie a black marker and asked if she could draw a picture of our family. The result is an amazing piece of us four in Sofies way. I will put it on the wall tomorrow, but I wanted to show it to you now.

If I ever have some spare time I really want to buy an old bookshelf with glass doors and fill it with vintage toys and old books. Like these old dolls I found at my inlaws on Sunday.

something uniqe

I got a really cute gift from Sofie the other day. It totally looked like a piece of art so I decided to put it on a chain and wear it for a neckless. It's a one of a kind and must therefore be put into the category  of designer jewellery. Here it is with my outfit. (Well, you can't really see the whole outfit, cuz I can't seem to manage to take pictures of myself in full figure. Tips anyone??) Bottom was blue skinny jeans and my new brown shoes with fur.

Day 67 it's so dangerous.....

My brothers fiance introduced me to this webshop a few weeks ago, and I must say it's pretty Dangerous. It's a lot like the norwegian site Epla for those of you that are familiar with that. There are lots of vintage items, collectlables and handmade stuff. It must be the perfect place to find uniqe gifts to people you really care about.

So I was surfing for a wedding gift, and found an amazing uniqe pice. I will show and tell later, sice it hasn't been given yet. As I was surfing I also found some faboulous other things. I couldn't help myself. So I ordered a pair of red vintage boots and a pair of vintage sunglasses for myself! This place is really a danger to your wallet. Stay away if you intend to keep your money.

shoes on sale

So I wasn't actually shopping or looking for anything, but I walked by the mall and happened to find some cute shoes on sale! They were only 99 kr each  at din sko so I got two pairs! That  means I can replace my black ancleboots with broken heels....finally.

Frøken Dianas Salonger

Yesterday I took time to go to Grunerløkka and do the last of my christmas shopping this year. I only had a few gifts to look for so I took my time. I had a plan to go to this faboulous vintage shop called Frøken Dianas Salonger The small shop is packed with treasures, and at a reasonable price too. This is where I got my red knit a while back (I wrote about it here)

If you are still looking for some special gifts this is the place to go! The girl who work there even took the time no neatly wrap each gift for me. Just don't make the same misstake I did. I went there early, but it doesn't open untill 12.

Day 32 homemade

Some gifts are best homemade. I can't exactly show the content of these beautiful red and green wrapped gifts quite yet. But it's from the garden, and goes with cheese. Now you can take a guess?

These are for some good friends, some of the caretakers at the day care where Sofie and Isak spend their days, and some to our neighbours. Little gifts packed with love.

A few homemade cards are made as well. I'm not posting any cards this year, but these cards will be delivered together with the gifts that goes with them.

Now I need to get in the shower and get going. I'm driving out to "ski" today to do some christmas shopping. Later <3

it's december!!!

The christmas song

Let the magic begin!
I love waking up every day in december. My daughter comes running into our bedroom filled with anticipation and wants to open the calender gift of the day. Candles lit for breakfast every morning. Ginger cookies, snow, you name it. This year the christmas atmosphere is already around since there is white crisp snow all around!

Finnally all the christmas shows we're doing these days really gets me in the spirit!

I haven't even thought about getting any christmas gifts or making cards yet, but I will have some time for that after all the shows are done.
