long time no see

I guess I've been too inspired lately to write. First of all I took a 2 week trip to the city of my dreams NY! I got to take some amazing dance classes at Steps on broadway. ( http://www.stepsnyc.com/ )  Went to the Met three times, and saw The Lion King! It felt like every day was so packed with inspiration that I was about to burst. I couldn't get enough.....

My dream right now is to take a trip next summer and bring the Man and the Kidz with me. Hopefully we can stay at least 4-6 weeks.

I also got to go to Ct Cyprien in France for a one week dance camp. Several co workers from Vinderen dansestudio came along with about 20 kids. One of my favourite dance teachers Angelo Monacco gave amazing classes and great coreography throughout the week.

Now it's time to pick up the slack and start working! Next week is start up of all the classes at vinderen and hauketo, and there's lots and lots of prepearing to get done.

Got a new job...running the dance compagny at vinderen! Lovin it!

Inspired

Here is my first photoshop-project. It thought it turned out pretty nice. I still want to make a signature label for all the photos of me. I'm thinking of using wachiwi as a signature name.....I'm taking an online course for photoshop, so i'm hoping to learn some cool ways of editing my photos.

I got to work at Oslo spektrum this weekend for cirque du solei, santimbaco show. It was absolutely spectacular. Amazingly coulorful and artistic. And not to mention the wonderful costumes! I felt utterly inspired to start making a show! The load out yesterday was fun too. Itæs pretty amazing to see the stage up close and take it apart and see the space cleared out in just 3 hrs. I also met some cool people there.

i got to do a really fun fotoshoot with glenn larson this friday. let me show you some of the results. These photos are hardly edited, so nicer versons might appear at a later stage.....

we're already 5 weeks into the semester and so far i must say it has been great! We now have about 70 students at the new dance-senter and i'm quite sure more will come.

right now i'm focusing on taking great care of the kids we have, giving them lots of joy and inspiration and making all the coreography for the christmas show.

The local newspaper wrote a story about us the week before we started.

Studio opening in just 2 weeks!

We're now only 2 weeks away from when we start up the new dance studio! So far we have kids in all the classes, but there's room for many more!!

This week I really need to step up the promotion, so this is the plan:
Free classes Monday and wednesday (youth classes) with a following fotoshoot with Lita (litaphotography)
We're working on "Vampire" by Zacharias and a musical mix.

I'm hoping to put together a "mini-show" that can be performed on Holmlia senter/senter sud and some youth-clubs in the area. (and maybe even on the subway/train-stations)

Thursday I'm being interviewed by Nordstrands blad (the local newspaper) and Putting up posters and handing out flyers at remaining schools.

I guess we're also putting up some new adds again....

I'm stopping by the office again today, so hopefully we've had some more kids signing up over the weekend too.
