I've had a couple of setbacks that have made my work a bit harder. I fell on my back and got a problem with my hip for one, and I now have a pulled muscle that is making it harder to stretch and lift.
When that has been said I have some good news too. I have learned that I have been working with a lot of wrong muscles in my lifts and I noe lift correctly. My legs are higher then they used to be on both legs, and it doesn't feel as hard to get it there. I am also quite a bit more flexible. I can finally do full splits on both legs and in 2'nd position!
What I've done:
- I've gone weekly to see a manuel therapist who has been stretching me and giving me different exercises to work on.
- I've done my exercises several times every week (though not every single day as I should have)
- I have added exercises in my classes (that I'm teaching) for my own sake and to teach the students how they can get their legs higher as well.
Even though the 100 days are over I'm not done. I'm going to keep on seing Pia (manuel therapist), and stretch and do exercises. I might be a bit old for this kind of task but I really don't care. I'm not done! I want to work to keep getting better, stronger, more flexible and greater in every aspect of my job!
(I will post some pictures of the end result as soon as I can get some pictures taken. Just need a little help since my camera is broken.)
